She is interested in Transformational Storytelling, and hopes to inspire, educate and teach empathy by sharing her humanity through compelling, storytelling endeavors. She has been a TedX coach, helping presenters get over stage fright and enhancing their storytelling skills. With her Theatre Teaching, she wants students to find connections between something inside themselves, and something external. A spark gets created in that space, and an energy, to question, and think about things differently….that’s exciting!
Empathy is one of the most important things we use, as Theater Artists and Educators. Learning to understand the ‘other’, put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and feel for them is crucial in being a good human AND a good Actor/Actress.
Theatre reconnects us as human beings by bringing people together in one space, to follow a story together. There’s a power and energy in that, like nothing else. She believes Art really is a friendly, civil way to wrestle with any kind of problem, which is desperately needed in the world, now more than ever.
